Dursow Deiphaladras

"History is built on the backs of either bold, wise, or foolish people. I seem to be all three."

Pathfinder, Keyfinder, Artisan of Aed's Craft

From the dock of the Kingsport to the chaotic energies of the vortex - known among fellow adventurers for his charm and wisdom, leader of the Anoma Exploration Company and friend to all who walk the path of thrills, treasure and mysteries. He believes in the Cycle and walks under The Moon Mother of the Sylvan Trinity.

General Information about Dursow

Age:  78 Ages (19 Eras)

Gender: Male

Race: Ue Il'ha - Spring Elf

Languages: Classical Elven, Common

Relationship Status: Single

Likes: Learning, showing off, woodworking, traveling, archaeology work and adventuring (ofcourse)

Dislikes: Killing, Demons, Undead,

Voice: Aloth (even his "second" voice when he gets angry)

Physical Description: Dursow is a 6' 1" lanky spring elf with a scar on the right side of his neck, and a ring finger missing from his left hand. He is pale with freckles and a¬†scottish/irish appearance. His dark brown hair is usually done up into a ponytail ("Warriors Wolf Tail" if you ask him) and he has dark green eyes to match. He is skinny and enjoys agility, speed, and dexterity over strength. The elf's normal clothes consist of a green tunic with a brown belt, dark brown pants, and even darker boots. Dursow's adventuring clothes are alot more excentric. It features a long cloak, a green chest plate with gold trims, and leather boots. He does not come off as threatening, rather na√Įve or scatterbrained until he starts spewing all he knows. Then he seems to be a know-it-all.¬†

General Backstory: Born and raised in the Old World  to a tailoress and a gardener who had spoiled their daughter rotten. While his sister Kore was encouraged to reach for great success as their parents did with their innovative business venture, Dursow was left to his own devices. He was named after a Durian Tree and the act of "sowing" a field. He bonded with his uncle specifically, a man more concerned about the mysteries of the world than the song of the flora and fauna around him. It was him who taught Dursow lore and history not taught within the region their home was located in. After many years of this his father began to teach him woodworking, seeing that he would one day follows his uncle's footsteps instead of his own. When his sister ran off to Anoma he followed right behind her for the sake of protecting her and seeing the secrets that waited to be uncovered in the New World.  They both lived in the Scholastic Republic of Mynnae, where Dursow would set up the first iteration of the "A Cut aBOWve" woodworking shop. After Mynnae crumbled they moved to a camp named Velystenia and Dursow began his adventuring for real, obtaining the Warden's gate key and slaying darkspawn. It is at this time when his sister passed away and when he would set up his lumber mill. In order to fund his expeditions he sold some of his crafts and quickly entered the Stronghold to take the vortex gate key. After burying Kore in proper soil he moved to Feidh.

Personality: Adventurous, larger than life, yet careful and cautious when dealing with the unknown. He is focused more on his well being and carries himself as a "self-interest" person. He considers all a friend, until they act or speak otherwise. Often rambling off the knowledge he has acquired and adventures he has had.

Dursow's Skills

- Archery: Having the entire lifetime of a human under his belt, Dursow has made made mainly bows in his work and like a child with a new tool often wants to test them himself. He has set up hay bales to shoot and practice with near his home in order to gauge whether or not the bow he made aimed true. He has been taught a technique for shooting and aiming and follows it to this day.

- Woodworking (Current Profession Level ~ Journeyman Woodworker) : As stated before Dursow was taught woodworking by his father or as many Ue Il'ha call it "Aed's Art". He mainly made bows but once arriving in Anoma he expanded his range and is now far more skilled then what he used to be. He can make several things from chest, doors, and chairs to arrows, steelwood longswords, and armor. He cannot craft anything though, and things out of his knowledge require a very specific description to make.

Dursow's Treasures

- Wooden Spyglass: This is Dursow's wooden spyglass with the horned eye of Ciallmhar carved in it. When it hangs on his hip he feels more relaxed and trusts in the information, and ideas he has.

- AEC Platinum Compass: Dursow treats this compass as identification for being the leader of the Anoma Exploration Company. He takes great pride in it and often shows it off when he can.

Dursow's Current Relationships

Beloved

Kore Deiphaladras (dead) - Though she has passed on, Dursow continues to mourn for his honest older sister. May none speak ill of her or face his anger.

Close Friends

Ser Atticus - Dursow considers himself a fool, after all, who enters the Warden's Bedroom? Who enters the toxin filled Stronghold? Both for a simple key.  Atticus has followed him on both occasions and although the human's name inspires groans in some, Dursow treats him with respect and friendship due to watching his back.

Kofrin - A wealth of knowledge and an ally in discovering all there is to know about the Talidurian civilization. He has gifted Dursow with quite a lot of knowledge that has aided him.

Draqthul - When seeking those to help him further his woodworking skills, Dursow looked to the beastfolk of Parsha, specifically their chief. He showed the lizardfolk how to make bows and began crafting for the city for some minor protection.

Ano'ki - Learning from each other and passing skills to one another in the art of woodworking. All that Dursow knows about crafting instruments comes from him.

Chryseis Shierufu - This dazzling half summer elf - half lotus state human first bumped into Dursow, when they were transported to the spring fae realm. She has caught his eye...only for her interesting culture of course.

Acquaintances

Um'pluk - She calls him "Wood Man" and although that's what he is, he finds it rather strange and funny.
