  5. What brings you to the LF Event Team? What goals do you have, should you be accepted?: Namely to help create events with others, and help the event team out with the management side of things should I be allowed.
  6. Do you have any prior experience in DMing? (I.e. Minecraft event hosting, D&D DMing, other mediums of DMing roleplay, etc.): I've been an ET on a few servers now, last big one was Redacted Craft.
  7. Provide an in depth scenario of an event you would hold with a rough audience of 4-8 people. : A group of six would find themselves travelling along the Northern Side of the map, by the mountains that laid to the East of explored Anoma by the settlers. A crackle in the sky is heard, a twisted portal begins to open in the sky above and a beam of energy would pierce the earth below. Out follows figures with twisted garbs and strange masks, clearly intent on finishing whatever was happening, protecting the site and calling to the travellers to back away.

    How the event unfolds depends on the players' actions, this will be assuming that the player group are going to attempt to stop the group.

    The group would decide to fake a retreat, deciding to wait for the sun to lower behind the sea to the West, when before it finally dipped before the turning of the night the group would scout out the camp, finding a gap in the defences that had been set up. Deciding to exploit this they'd attempt to sneak past when Night had fallen, all going through the crack in the walls before finding cover, they'd carefully watch the patrols of the strange people, to learn their pattern before they'd begin their attack, able to take out at least three of their numbers before they became alerted, two had fleed upon being alert, for reasons unknown, leaving the party to take on another eight. After a long clash between these people and the party, they'd be one the final man standing, attempting to capture him in order to question him. While they did manage to capture him, he was wounded far to fatally by the party, only able to get enough information to stop this strange portal and a location. Not much in the way of motivates or what the group was trying to achieve here. The party would move towards the twisted machine that was causing the portal to remain open and shoot the beam downwards below, they'd simply opt to destroy it rather than turning it off, though not heeding the warning of the man before, thinking he wanted them to turn it off so the group might reobtain it, causes a violent reaction, injuring those close by the machine. After they spend the time patching themselves up, they'd simply move on, collecting whatever they found of use.
  8. Provide an in depth scenario of an event you would hold with a rough audience of 10+ people.: This event is meant to continue on from the first example, along with other events that would happen prior before this event would unfold. This will again assume the party continues on their path to hinder the efforts of the antag group of this event and had gathered a party big enough to tackle this event.

    The party would have finally found the location that the cultists had come from, though they were still unaware of their intentions or who they served. What stood before them was a giant door. The Party would begin to inspect around to determine how to open the door, they were in a cavern that seemed to indicate the Cult was hiding within. While there was no clear way to open the door, they'd notice in the dark there was a small tunnel to the side, the party would make their way through the tunnel, being lead into a great big hall that seemed abandoned. There was a giant staircase that leads deeper within the Earth, with other paths that would branch off, deciding to head down what they assumed was the main path they spent a great deal of time travelling they were greeted with the sight of what appeared to be a ritual being performed. A great number of Cultists were partaking in this, noting a strange figure that stood in the centre of it all, despite their efforts, it would appear they arrived too late, the ritual was complete, a strange shadow would overtake the entire dungeon. With the force of this, the party would be knocked out cold.

    When they awaken they find themselves in a different place, almost as if a dark grey bluish filter was over their vision, as all of them had nothing but chains around their necks and limbs. They'd note their equipment was stash not far from the cells they were kept in, however, they had to work out a plan of escape. One of the party noticed their chain was rusted and would easily break against their might, they'd lure the guard into their cell, taking a few hits from the guard they'd angered before breaking the chain and wrapping their arm around their throat, attempting to choke the life out of him, when the deed was done, they'd reach for the key around the belt, beginning to free themselves and the others.

    Now free and reunited with their gear, they'd begin to carefully explore the area they were in, mainly focused on escape, from what they were able to determine from their surroundings, they were in a Keep that sat in utter blackness. While the tallest point of this Keep had a light pierce above, every once and awhile a figure would shoot up this light and out of the Keep. The party would have to battle their way through these cultists and strange creatures that all protected the Keep, slowly attempting to make their way to the tallest point to escape. While they were on the final stretch of their escape, they were attacked by the figure they saw before, clearly a lot more powerful that the ilk they came across before, they'd work out a way best suited to defeating him, mainly staying on the defensive as they were lucky with the attack allowing them to backpedal to the light, one of the party members noted as they got close there was siege equipment at the top. He'd quickly move to the cannon, calling a few to help him prepare it, leading this figure right into a trap. They'd blast him with the cannonball, the force bringing the figure through the wall, however, this figure would have cast a spell, it seemingly engulfed one of the party members in a strange fire before nothing was left of them. The Party had little time to mourn their fallen comrade, though they'd push on and make it through to the top before the forces of the Keep were able to overwhelm them.

    They'd escape through the portal, finding themselves back at the giant Doors, though it was now open, shadow tendrils leaking out of the giant dungeon. Though something odd followed shortly after, their fallen friend would emerge from the Shadowy Enterance, their complexion pale, one of their eyes tainted with a strange energy, they left it glazed over. The Party would bring their friend with them as they made their escape in case the cultists chased after. Determining to work out what had befallen their friend.
  9. What is the proper way to cater towards a server narrative?: Oddly I'd say not to cater towards the server's narrative, but to make events that are impactful to the player groups of the server, while making sure it doesn't clash with the server's narrative. Generally, I find lots of people do not enjoy 'big events' and it isn't because of the fact they are bad events, but they feel disconnected to the event, and a lot of the time the stakes come across rather faux due to the disconnection. Getting players immersed in the events that have 'impact' to the players currently involved would be the best way to cater to the overarching server narrative.
  10. How does an Event Team member go about creating a meaningful story with a lasting effect?: How the event impacts the player characters and the world around. This can be done by altering the world around and the player characters. Allowing the players to learn something new about the world or allowing them to discover something new about it. Rewards can also help with this. Though this all depends on how well it is implemented if done poorly the effect wouldn't last at all.
